I just bought Dawn of War Platinum Edition off of amazon.com, new. I recieved it today and went to install it and the Winter Assault expansion only has 4 sets of numbers intead of the required 5 when you install. I tried just putting the 4 in in but it says it is not valid. Any advice?

I sent an email to THQ.

Exchange it with Amazon as defective.

Did the serial come on a plastic sticker? If it did, it could have rubbed off.

This happened to my Diablo 2 disk (not right after I bought it, but later on down the road, the numbers rubbed off and I basically lost my only valid CD key), so it could be that the serial rubbed off of the plastic sticker on the way from the factory to Amazon's warehouse, or from the warehouse to your place, or anywhere in between.

So, either contact THQ and explain to them the situation (if they're not douches, they should offer to give you a new set of CD Keys), or simply return it to Amazon.

Hmm, are you sure you're looking at the right number?
The DoW one has only 4 parts, the WA one has (should have) 5.

yes i am the DoW has 4 but the one under it says WA and it only has 4 and it looks alot like the DoW one...well the 1st 4 numbers are the same, but the DC manual has the 5 sets of numbers for it, so i just need the numbers for WA.

I went on THQ.com and entered my product code and found out this is a common problem. I emailed them about it and I should be able to get another set of numbers.

Thx for all the help guys this is a great website... :)
