This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Installing ATI drivers via Device Mgr, Is it advisable?

    I asked this question over at Guru3D. I have no need for CCC and I use Afterburner and ATI Tools, so I extracted the drivers package and updated the drivers from within device manager. I hate you have to install ATI's Install Manager and other stuff.

    Everything seems fine. Is this advisable since it's primary purpose is for gaming?
