Hi,
Im considering buying a cheap laptop to play WoW on the move with, do you pros think that this IGP will be sufficient to play at medium settings?
Thanks

Probably not at medium. The HD4500 is weak, even by IGP standards since it's behind the 9400M GS and the HD3200 in terms of performance(by at least 50% if not more).
I do think it would run at the lowest settings though. -
nope it'll lag like 5h1+ on places with lots of ppl like azeroth etc... pardon moi.

Well lag happens even on a higher end GPU. Lag is more than just GPU reliant. It is also due ot internet connection and CPU processing in some cases.
Believe me, I lag at Warcraft 3 on a desktop 8800 GTS if there's a lot of stuff on the map loland WC3 is hardly a graphics heavy game(and I have a decent graphics card).
But yeah, I wouldn't suggest it regardless if it would run. If you want to game, minimum the stronger IGPs or even lower end dedicated. -
Since they introduced shaders and a few other bits and pieces to the graphics engine in WoW with patch 3.0 there are a lot of people out there with intergrated graphics who USED to be able to play WoW on low settings but they are lucky to get 10-15fps now.
Not exactly playable - especially if you are on a PvP server
And there is a lot of extra detail in the environment in Northrend compared to Outlands as well - think Shatt was a place to cripple your system? Try intergrated in Dalaran then...lol
Best bet is to get something with a cheap dedicated graphics option, even a low end card (such as the 8400 in my Vostro) still require the shaders and a few effects turned to low or off in order to get native screen resolution at around 50-60fps - definately a lot more playable, just not as pretty as it can be with something higher up the performance chain.
Also be mindful that Blizz are going to be upgrading the graphics engine even further over this coming year so that, dare I say it, you might actually need something capable of playing 'normal' games to run it, but it will look a lot prettier! -
I ran mine fine at low-med, except maybe in places with lots of people. Very playable other than that. If you lower the bar on the shown distance graphic option, you will gain lots of FPS.

It will be fine i had a less powerfull nvidia 6150 and it ran maxxed out no AA 1280 x 800 and got 20-30 fps in high preformance mode.
