Out of curiosity how would an old dedicated graphics card compare to a newer integrated card?

In benchmarks, the 4500MHD juuust ekes out the 7400.
Not sure how'd it'd fare in games. -
In 3DMark06, it can beat Geforce 7400, but let me tell you, when you compare two video cards that have different DirectX support, 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage are the WORST benchmarks you can use to compare. 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage are merely feature checks. A faster card that can't run all the newer benchmarks will score lower than slower card that can run everything. Plus, 3DMark06/Vantage is influenced too much by a CPU. FFS its a graphics benchmark!!
The best benchmark for video cards is 3DMark05. In 3DMark05, Geforce 7400 will outperform X4500MHD by 20-30%. In reality, with the combination that Intel IGPs have NO game developer support, Geforce 7400 will be faster in everything. -
In games the 7400 will eat x4500HD for breakfast
