I'm pretty sure the max is 256mb, mines 128 i think. improving the shared vram on a IGPU like that will do little to nothing.

Depends. And I'm assuming you know that you need a 64bit OS to use all 4 gigs anyway?

Ya XP only recognizes 3.75 gigs of it. I might have to end up setting my laptop to dual boot.

Not only does increasing the ram not increase the performance at all, but adobe stuff is not limited by your gpu, but your cpu and ram mainly.

giving the gma 950 9999999999999999 petabytes of ram wouldn't do jack in improving its gaming performance

Like I said, I added the ram for the programs not for gaming. I was wondering about the GPU because I wanted to see if AGE 3 would run on my laptop but I thought I need more ram for my GPU.

If it cannot run it now, it isn't going to be able to. Adding RAM does not make it more powerful.

Oh, and the drivers do not allow you to adjust the amount of shared RAM yourself.
