Hey guys. I've been looking at a new laptop. The one I'm thinking about getting has a GMA X3100. I don't know anything about this card so I have a couple questions:
-Will it be able to run Blender 3D?
-Will it be able to play TES:Morrowind (at a decent/good frame rate)?
-How many MB is it?
-Does it have good OpenGL support, like can I play games like Cube with it?
-Is it better than the X200M?
The most advanced games I will even consider playing will be Morrowind and NWN 1. Then older games like SC, D1, D2, WC3 etc.
Here's the specs for the rest of the system:
-2.0 GHZ Core Duo 2 Processor
-2GB 667Mhz Ram
and some other stuff lol.
Thanks in advance,
-Taylor

Well, just yesterday i was running NWN 2 with it
it was a little laggy, but very playable. It runs NWN 1 very well, and morrowind very very well.
The new drivers have open GL support... I believe that issue has been resolved.
The X3100 can take up to 356 mb of ram from your system.
The x3100 is better then all previous integrated cards, x200m included. It is more around the go 7200 from nvidia (or is it 7300... can't remember perfectly).
Also, newer drivers will make this card even better with time... if intel can move their lazy buns
hope this helps -
Expect the same preformance as the Ati X1300 or NVidea go 7300.

The new drivers are making big differences. There are reviews of people getting over 1300 marks on 3dmark05 with drivers for X3100.
EDIT: maybe it is bull, but I have read that multiple times in these forums. -
The X3100 has potential, but the drivers are still lacking. When intel releases HW T&L in Non-beta drivers, it'll perform better.
And if DX10 coding is made more optimized, as it was supposed to (same effect should require less performance than in DX9) and Intel finally releases the drivers that adds DX10 compability (delayed until first quarter 2008), performance will be better. -

1300 on 3dmark05 is about on par with the best benches from the ATi X1250/70. It really depends on the cpu however as the cpu helps out with IGPs. That's great for an IGP though, around X1300 level, a bit shy of the geforce go 7200 and well of the 7300 though. I think on average the X3100 is about X300 level, but more lieklly with more advanced shaders.
