I HAVE to buy a Laptop tomorrow , And im stuck betwwn two choices , The Hp Pavilion DV 6000 and Dv6500 .

Dv6500 Is definitely better in All aspects (Santa Rosa / Batter Life / FingerPrint Reader)

But ! , It comes with an Intel GMA X3100 IGC While Dv6000 Comes with a Geforce Go 7400.

Now , WILL the X3100 be able to run :

    Half-Life 2?
    Silent hill Series?
    Pcsx2?
    Counter Strike: Source ?

If yes , On which settings?

After reading many articles , I think it probably SHOULD after Intel releases the Drivers , So , Can Anyone help me decide?

One more thing, When Intel releases the Drivers , Will The Geforce Stay Much superior to the X3100?

im pretty sure that the x3100 is an Integrated gpu which means it will take up resources from ur CPU, which in theory, will lower ur fps. i know for a fact that the 7400 go is a dedicated gpu which does not take away from ur processor. so technically would be better for gaming but, my friend has a 7300 and he can barely play hl2 @ 1024 x 768 on high settings. the 7400 might be better but i have no hands on experience with it. as far as an overall notebook, i would go with the dv6500. newer technology and better features.

If you are ordering this notebook, you may have another option now. The dv6500T is now configurable with the GeForce 8400M GS.

The 7400 will ALWAYS be superior to the x3100. If you must play games, then there is no question - get the dv6000. The speed of the 6500 can't make up for the x3100 graphics. Even if the 3100 supports directx 10, which the go7400 does not, it's not going to do you much good. There's a difference between supporting the standard and playing any games that might come out...
