Not talking about gaming here, just basics as Vista's Aero effect and Photoshop, Illustrator and such.

Will there be any difference at all?

When running 1680x1050 should there be any differences in regards to image quality?

What about battery life, how much more will you gain with the X3100?

As photoshop is quite memory intensive, I imagine having a dedicated card would be good as you then have more system memory bandwidth, but the difference between a the lowest model dedicated GPU and the 570M would be next to nothing. I'm not so sure on battery life. If you can, get a low end dedicated video GPU.
