I've recently ordered a T61 with INTELGMA960W/1394. I searched the forums and understand that 960 is a glitch/typo it's actually x3100...It would be greatly appreciated if you can tell me the video memory of this card??? is it 64mb, 128mb or something else???

    thanks a bunch in advanced!!!

It's all shared memory. I have the X3100 in my ThinkPad and this is what it reads:
    Total Available Graphics Memory: 358MB
    Dedicated Video Memory: 0MB
    System Video Memory: 128MB
    Shared System Memory: 230MB

So, the card shares up to 128MB on its own and Vista allows it to share another 230MB.

would it be the same for xp pro instead of vista as far as the shared 230mb goes?

Also the X3100 and GMA 965 are the same thing? I think?

The X3100 comes with the 965GM chipset. GMA960 is definitely a typo.

I've seen the X3100 expressed as the GMA965. GMA i think is Graphics Media Accelerator?

That's right. Intel probably calls it the "GMA X3100" to differentiate it from the GMA950 and other previous Intel GPUs.

Also, the GMA X3100 is the mobile version of the GMA X3000 used in the Mobile 965GM chipset.
