I need to update my drivers for my graphics card and I went to the appropriate site to do so but I got an error message saying that those drivers were not validated for my computer. I don't know what to do. I am running Windows Vista Home Prem. 32bit

Here are the specs on my card:
    Processor: Mobile Intel® Graphics Media
    Accelerator X3100
Video RAM: 358MB Total Available Graphics
    Memory
Chipset: Mobile Intel® GM965 Express Chipset
Interface: VGA and S-Video Out with Smart
    Display Sensor

Here is the reason for all my problems. I am trying to play BF2 on my VAIO notebook. I install the game fine, but when I try and start it up, the initial bf2 graphic appears and then the screen blacks out like it is trying to load, but then goes back to desktop and acts like nothing happened. I realize the graphics card I have is inferior, but I have been told it is possible play with everything on low using my equipment. Please help.

The X3100 is not a very powerful card, and does not have some features that dedicated cards do. BF2 may not run on it.

Anyway, did you completely uninstall the drivers and then use the ones from www.intel.com?

The only feature that doesn't exist that's relevant to users is anti-aliasing. It features full support for DX9 and DX10. It's just slow.

The latest driver for Vista is 15.9. BF2 will run on drivers 15.6 and later. The notebook manufacturers may not put the latest drivers so you'll have to find a way to install the ones from Intel site.

How does one go about "completely uninstall the drivers?" Because I did download the new update directly from intel and when I went to install the updates it told me it was "not validated" for my computer.

Go to device manager and click on the display device. Right click on it and Uninstall.
