Greetings,
First I'd like to apologize should I posting in the incorrect section but I believe this is a general case so here we go![]()
I'm helping a friend of mine decide which laptop to buy, all he wants is a 15.6" that he uses for internet or MATLAB. So I've taken all the choices and found him a new HP G6-2000 series and its price is good considering the heavy taxes and customs they take in my country.
now the main question:

as you can see the shop states it has an Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics card, and I'm finding this strange since I know that only the new 3rd generation Ivy Bridge CPUs will have this, yet the CPU states it's a 2nd gen processor so I've emailed them about this and they linked it with the HP page and even there it says HD 4000, which is strange
HP Pavilion g6-2000 Notebook PC series
look at the models and you'll see that all of the integrated graphics are HD 4000 yet CPUs are Sandy Bridge
So did Intel/HP somehow put HD 4000s in Sandy-bridge CPUs or is there some foul play here?
Thank you.![]()

Looks like the website is wrong and the person who replied to your email didn't even bother to look at the link they provided you. No Sandy has HD4000. The Ivy i3's are due out at Computex, beginning June 5.
