Hello All,
Im after some advice please!
I currently have a Sony Vaio NW26M laptop and i wouldnt mind getting a few games to play on it after the demise of my Xbox, i know its got a rubbish graphics card in it and i wont be able to play anything new, but my questions are;
1. Can i upgrade the graphics card or is this not possible?
2.what fps games could i play (old or new, im not fussed) if any??
will it play any of the command and conquers or counterstrikes, obviously the older ones if my machine is 64bit??
My specs are if this helps;

dual core t4300 @ 2.1Ghz
4GB Ram
64bit Win 7

Oh it's Sony Vaio? I think sony's laptops are not upgradable besides upgrading RAM; you know how big corporations are like. As for the games, I am not sure because I don't know how crappy the intel mobil card is.

Could also overclock your CPU as well, if necessary doing a 200->266Mhz PLL pinmod to get your CPU up to 2.8Ghz. -
yup like the above post said, you can try a ViDock solution. Although you do need a separate monitor to my knowledge.
And I had a x3100 intel graphics which is worse than the 45000mhd and i ran source games fine.. -
Source games? Oh, I missed that. Since TF2 was semi-playable on mine, CounterStrike should be fine. There are videos on YouTube showing it running great.

source games should be able to run with some tweaking, for starters make a shortcut for any source game...say like tf2...then right click it...properties.... and the end of the target line after the " type this without the brackets [-dxlevel 8] this will force the engine to use direct x rendering....you could also disable sounds and that should give you a few fps boost [-nosound] (i think thats right for no sound)

I played civ 5 and starcraft 2 with intel 4500 hd.
source games like portal run fine set on low.
fallo0ut 3 new vegas is functional. You shouldnt play fps games but strategy games run fine.
Intel Mobil 4 series express chipset family & 64bit?
