Here's the deal. I have a notebook (Compaq C710ed) which has integrated graphics, Intel GMA X3100. I am trying to hook it up with my LCD TV (through VGA) which has a native resolution of 1366*768. However, this resolution can't be chosen in the driver settings. The closest is 1280*720. This doesn't look as nice as it could and should.![]()
Does anyone know how I can solve this? Thanks.![]()

What version of drivers are you running?
-
I'm not quite sure, I'm not able to look it up at the moment. However, some googling makes me believe installing another version of the drivers doesn't solve this problem.
-
at least it will not do any worse if you install latest driver from Intel server.
Try this, might be helpful
also, this is the official reaction from Intel http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-028366.htm
And, if you have a bit of spare time, you can read through this and modify the driver yourself -
x3100 had problems with some resolution, some of them were fixed with driver updates. If you have an old driver, updating should fix it.

Same problem here.
I can't setup to 1366x768. An i'm running with the latest Intel's drivers.... -
Most TV's can't do 1366x768 at all since it is not dividable by 8.
Try using 1360x768, most TV's 1366x768 TV's that can do 1:1 pixelmapping uses this res to do it. -
Hi Yenkaz,
Don't have this option at Inte's driver. From 1280x768 go to 1400x1050.
That's very strange. My old notebook have 1360, 1365 and 1366 with Intel driver and Nvidia driver. It's a SZ340 (GM945 and Nvidia; the old note).
Regards.
Intel X3100 doesn't show native LCD TV resolution (VGA)
