I know the HD supports 1080p while the other does not. But the 1080p is a format used for Blue Ray, not streaming yet.

Will I notice a difference with these two cards with streaming HD video from the interne? I did a google search for this topic and did not really find anything.

How much better streaming would I get wit the GeForce 9300M GS?

Alright. I contacted Intel directly and wanted to find out if anyone can confirm what I was told. I hear so many different answers a lot of times that I do not know who to believe.

I was told that this card would not do anything to help streaming on the internet. Only Blu Ray. The person told me that my internet connection (cable) could not download fast enough to handle 1080p streaming. So the HD card is useless for my uses. The guy was not not clear whether I would get a better performance with the 9300M for watching video. Maybe because it was not an Intel product.

I also read somewhere that the 9300 M GS is an integrated card as well. Even the product page on the Nvdia isn't clear on this. So am I going to get a better performance with this card?

where are you watching your videos from? i dont think HD is streaming yet so regardless of the card you can watch whatever you like. Intel is the lowest you can be, only way from Intel is up, so getting an nvidia or ati is always good.

it really doesnt have to be a big deal unless your gona start playing games, streaming video online is not a problem for ANY card.

Are you planning to watch mostly movies? or are you going to game lightly. Even if you are light gaming you should stay away from Intel.

I would go with the 9300m GS if you could, much better than anything Intel has to offer. It will be able to play videos just fine.

Fox streams high quality (not sure if it is HD). YouTube and ABC.com stream HD.

Someone else said something similar and this is just not true. We have a laptop with the Intel X3100 GMA and video on Fox is ok, but could better. I want to know if it really worth it to upgrade to the NVIDIA 9300 which is pretty low end.

In desktops there is a clear difference between X4500 and the X4500HD but in mobile its not as much.

Even the low-end GL40 chipset supports partial HD acceleration. Take a close look at their datasheets.
