I have ZERO gaming interest in a future laptop purchase however i will need it to handle HD streaming, HD video playing, and HD video editing.

If i could stay away from an integrated card and do this RELIABLY i'd be elated; however if i'll run into possible issues i will get something with switchable graphics.

    What say the graphics experts?

    thanks

Something with a HD3200 or a 9300M would be a better idea though the 4500MHD shouldn't have too much problem handling HD medias....

You'll be fine, there haven't been any reports on this forum showing the X4500 as completely incapable of doing HD processing.
