looks like they are targeting thin and light

Yeah, that was always the angle for the low power one.

I am soooooo excited with what we have in store for the next decade as far as gaming and tech goes....revolutionary

Agred, should be interesting to see 3 players in the space. I guess Intel always was a player of ill repute due to iGPU.

like with xe max they are targeting thin and light and they manage to get the best performance in that market imagine if when the switch to compete with 3090 or 4090.
we will see but ill tentatively say hold on we are in for a ride -
If integrated graphics ends up getting really powerful, I'd like to see a DTR that does not have a dedicated GPU, has an LGA CPU, has a huge battery or two, and connects to an external graphics enclosure. That would be the perfect DTR. You'd get great battery life and get the performance you need when plugged in without the expense of MXM GPUs.
We pretty much all game when plugged in anyways (if using the dedicated GPU). If you want to game on battery power, integrated graphics is the better option since it was engineered for efficiency, so you'd get more runtime off it. I'd like to see eGPU + LGA laptops enter the market and take off. There's only one laptop I know of that has a desktop CPU and no dedicated graphics (Eurocom Commander), but it sadly does not support overclocking, and that's no fun! -
Integrated graphics are already powerful.. xe that is...@hfm are they releasing anything for competition to Nvidia and amd...and speaking of amd they are giving gamers a viable option...very exciting...haven't been this excited since the HD 5870m

... wait for better improvements on bios or driver updates then jump to the blue pool... -
I still dont see a xe on the level of a 3070

Intel's first goal is to devour the low-end laptop graphics segment, which they will easily with every laptop pretty much shipping with an Intel CPU anyway.
Their build up to the mid and high level discreet GPU competition will not be rushed, because they will have to make a serious statement upon arrival.JRE84 likes this. -

I was thinking earlier today the integrated igpu xe graphics is close to a MX 250 and the dedicated GPU is close to a MX 350..it's really unimpressive..but this is Intel and hopefully they can pull a rabbit out of the hat
