I recently purchased an HP Spectre X360 14 with the i7-1165G7 and have been testing a few games on it. Nothing new, I still play the original Call of Duty Black Ops, Just Cause 2, and Far Cry 3. On paper, it should be faster than the AMD RX Vega 7 chip, but my Ryzen 7 4750U pushes better frame rates.
My biggest complaint is with the Intel 6 AX201 wireless card. It consistently causes higher latency in Call of Duty online games. I have two other laptops with this card and they function normally, so this must be an HP issue.
I've found that disabling turbo boost with Throttlestop is the best way to avoid GPU and CPU throttling, as well as high temps (>95C).

I'd avoid to play online games over WiFi mainly because the latency is not good enough, also the jitter is not constant. My AX200 in a local network goes from 2ms to 60ms, to that you have to add the internet latency so at times it is unplayable. I haven't found the root of the issue. 160MHz should have a more clean spectrum with less interference so less latency but it's not the case to me.
Just avoid the headache and use ethernet. < 1ms local latency and constant jitter. -

That sounds like buffer bloat. I can game on WiFi just fine with stable latency.

Unfortunately, these thin and light laptops forgo ethernet ports. I can work through the WiFi problem eventually, but the Xe GPU needs some optimization or something. It should be as fast or faster than Vega 7, but I'm seeing about 60-75%. -

Also, if Intel RST is installed, uninstall it. The microsoft supplied driver is just fine, Intel RST was causing me all sorts of issues that cleared up when I uninstalled it.Papusan likes this. -

I don't trust this thin and light laptops lol, .... I wonder if it has dual channel. Dual vs single channel has a significant impact on integrated video cards. Also, at what temperature does the Xe throttles? Nvidia graphics cards throttle at around 85ºC. Check the GPU's core clock while playing games and see if it throttles

i heard igpu xe performs as good as a mx 330
