So, I just read about this:
Intel on GTA 5 PC release: "I don't think it will be console exclusive very long" | Tech, Tech News | PC Gamer
Anyways, who has been with GTA on PC for longer, knows that it will eventualy come to the PC. We just have to wait a few months. It has been like this since (I belive) GTA Vice City.
-
they may release it for holidays..

I bet they are pushing hard for a pre-Christmas release. So, of course it will be a bad port.
-
Of course they are going to release it on PC, releasing it simultaneously is impossible, too many bugs to deal with on PC, and people are going to cry for patches to be made. Different hardware, different results etc etc
Now releasing it on PC at first would be a major disaster, too much piracy, Rockstar wouldn't even get NEAR the insane amount of revenue it generated from the console sales.
So easy go, easy come -PC is going to be delayed. Can't understand why people are so confused though, AS IF THEY ARE GOING TO SKIP PC LOL. Think rationally please. -
Red Dead Redemption, that is all to all comments of think rationally.

So, who knows? Seems they care more about the bottom line than their original fans.
EDIT: I do still think it's coming to PC however, but dangit so should have Red Dead Redemption -
Of course all they care about is their bottom line. They are in the business of making money first, it wasn't that long ago with GTA4 that they took a fat 50 mil pay check from MS to make it a timed exclusive with exclusive DLC. But RDR was an unfortunate case, it didn't come to PS3 either.
GTA5 was delayed from its original launch date by 6 months for polishing. I suspect they were already porting to PC during this period, and they are simply strategically timing releases to maximize profit and hype. I think if it does release this holiday period then that's a pretty strong indication of this. -
I had already decided to buy GTA V on Xbox because of all the bugs in the desktop version of GTA IV, it was nearly unplayable. If they do release it on PC I expect it to be hugely buggy mess. Maybe they could work it out if they release it in a year or so but I doubt that would translate to many sales.

Ok, but the choice of words makes it very easy to misinterpret .
-
Now people who are serious about a certain game, they will buy it because usually pirated games cant be played online and to be honest i think multiplayer is fun while campaign is not
To be spot on, GTA V was leaked on torrents 4-5 days before actual release (yes, for consoles) and seeder count went into tens of thousands within hours.
It would still get same amount of sales on consoles or maybe a bit less because many people switched over to console, but if they were a pirate, then they would just torrent it toosasuke256 likes this. -
Just the PC side got the shaft.TBoneSan likes this. -
Sorry my error. Its is on PS3
I didn't realize it did. So yeah.. Just PC got shafted with that one
-
GTA will be on PC, Rockstar is not making that mistake.
Simply no way in hell they are going to skip PC, if they do though, I will print this statement out and eat the paper.

In to see jaug1337 eat paper.
In all seriousness, GTA5 will most definitely come out onto computer. From a business standpoint, they would be throwing away large amounts of sales (and thus revenue) if they decided to keep GTA limited to consoles. Not to mention, I believe I read somewhere that the GTA series is what makes or breaks RockStar games (don't quote me on that though). -
I also think I remember reading something about nVIDIA related to GTA V.

-
Gta 4 was running better on nvidia
i hope hope also for gta 5...i picked i7 over a10 with 8970M just cause gta 4 was very cpu dependant..hope gta 5 will be the same

Maybe for jaguar but current amd cpu's are really bad..i expect that a higher clock and hyper threading will be better than low clock amd quad cores and eight cores
-
Any chance to see GTA 5 with Mantle support, like BF4? I think that would be a disaster for Nvidia
-
.
By the way not excited for GTA5 anymore, tried at Xbone at the neighbor's house and suprised how bad is the physics after GTA4, I would say nothing, un-enjoyable, absolutely arcade. -
I have to say, that I pretty much lost my excitement for the game. I simply lost the hype. They should've released the PC version at the same as the consoles. Now I am much more excited for Black Flag and Watch_Dogs.

I've always been more excited for AC4 and Watch Dogs, but I hope they at least try to make the PC version properly optimized. If it will be like GTA IV, they might as well just leave it a console exclusive.
-
Well after playing through it on 360 I can say I loved it and it will look amazing on PC. Hopefully they do a better job than GTA4.
Its unofficially a timed exclusive for both consoles. I bet it will be released on PC once DLC is available on the consoles. -
I was watching some videos of GTA 5 gameplay and people were saying that the map is so large, you can drive a car (in game) across it and it would take 45 minutes or so to get to the other side. That is a lot of content and a huge open world environment. I'm definitely going to consider buying GTA 5 if it comes to PC. Hell, I may even get an Xbox One or PS4 just to play GTA 5.
-
I've already got it on 360 and it's a day 1 purchase once it's on PC. That's how much I like it lol. Then I can finally flush my 360 down the toilet once and for all
Intel belives in GTA V comming to PC (Who doesn't realy?)
