I'm looking for the intel extreme tuning utility, which can overclock Extreme edition cpus. Searched intel and google high and low with no luck. Intel reps have no idea where it is either... Anybody have any ideas where I can find it?

Doesn't Mark at K|N have access to it? I thought he was gonna let his customers use it.

not sure about all that. it was more mhooper talking about having it than mark. and since it was never shown in working condition..im gonna say no. now if he does have it, then ill retract, but i haven't talked to hooper in a few weeks.

and there are no super gains if it is working or no one is posting as of yet....

I downloaded it somewhere a while back when I was running my P9500 and though, huh, if I ever go extreme, I'll want this. Low and behold, here I am extreme, and can't find it again.

I'm looking for absolutely anything that will allow me to overclock my memory or cpu. I hate seeing my cpu @ 3.5ghz @ 50C when I know it can be far faster. BTW, OCZ Freeze lowered the cpu tempts 7-8C and GPU 6-7C in my tests. Well worth it.

Intel XTU isn't available for download. It's only provided to system builders, who then mod the GUI to their liking and provide it with their systems. So you'll have to ask a system builder/notebook retailer to get access to it.

if you don't have an intel based bios on a laptop(meaning a bios designed for it)...that xtu isn't going to work. (speculation of course)

if it worked, mhooper would already be running around posting it. he hasn't, so im going to chalk that up as a ...it doesn't work.....yet...
