This thing looks like it could do some real damage. Has anyone came up with a tutorial for overclocking the Sager NP9170 via this application?

If not, could someone with seasoned hands take a crack at explaining how one could go about overclocking their system with it, safely?

Ok, it looks like the i7-3820QM cannot be overclocked, due to a locked multiplier. I wonder if this utility has any use.

Yes it can. On my Alienware, it came with unlocked multipliers. I simply enabled overclocking from the BIOS and fiddled around in Intel XTU. I don't think you can overclock a CPU in the current lineup of Sager models without the Extreme CPU.

I just wish I could change my TDP and turbo timer on my 2720QM. :(

The 3720 and 3820 has a partial MP unlock to pull 400MHz more from the core clock

The 9150 cannot be OC'd, the 9170 can take partial OC and XM cpu OC

so how do you do the partial overclock from the bios? Everytime I try to set them at level 3, I go back in and overclocking is disabled again. Alienware m18x i7 3820qm.
