Ok guys, I am a total newb when it comes to having computer upgraded. I currently have a HP Pavilion Notebook. It is the 4000 series. it comes with an intergrated graphics chip: Intel 915GM. Anyway I just wanted to know if I can install a dedicated card instead of just keeping the old intergrated one? Or can I replace it with something else?

Short answer, no. However, if you don't need portability and also have an external display, the recently announced Asus XG Station may be an option.

A quick search of this site (or Gizmodo, Engadget, etc.) should find you some more info.
