Hi Guys,
I recently bought an HP DV4 with a GT650. For some reason, it also brings an internal Intel card (I think is the one from the Ivy bridge (i5)). The thing is that by default, the GT650 is only used for gaming, while the other card takes control of everything else. It all works fine though, but I wonder if it would be better to have the GT650 controlling everything (i.e. windows image quality). I´m not sure how to do it though.
Thanks for the advices.

its called optimus and a lot of laptops wont let you change to continuously use the nvidia card.
the idea is to give much better battery life while doing less demanding things but auto switches to the nvidia when you game. -
No, it wouldn't be better. The video card doesn't actually control anything, it just renders visuals. The whole point of switching between the Intel card and the Nvidia one is to save battery when the Nvidia card isn't needed. If it used the Nvidia card for everything, the only difference would be worse battery life.
Internal card taking control
