The collector's edition for the original WoW is going for $1k+ on eBay. I was lucky enough to get the Burning Crusade Collector's edition when it was released, though I opened it since I used to play WoW. (wow, I could've gotten a good amount of money for that if I never opened it). By the way, how much do you guys think it's worth if it was used (it's in a like new condition)?

I'm thinking about buying a Lich King Collector's Edition and leaving it sealed only to sell it when it's reaching insane prices on eBay. Do you guys think that that's a smart idea?

Burning crusade collector's edition goes on ebay sealed for ~80 USD. I don't think it will be as expensive as WoW collector's edition, and I don't think Lich King will either. It was a one time thing with the first one.

Hey, for $100 which you will probably get back no problem, as long as it is sealed, it's worth trying. I personally don't care for WoW, but something like this, it's a great idea. Might not get your $1000, but maybe a few hundred.
