    Hi -

I was wondering if you would consider these games as well as SW Lego II to be intensive graphics games? I ask cause i am considering picking up a hp dv2000t which has the nvidia go 7200 gpu. will this handle these games?

    thanks

    Jeff

They are not that hard to handle, no. I used to run Battlefront I on my old GeForce 4 MX with no problems. Couldn't play II on that same card because it did not have hardware pixel shaders, but judging from how my current X700 runs both of those games, II isn't that much more demanding than I.

The Go7200 is not a very powerful video card, but you will definitely be able to handle both of those games; not at top settings but medium does not seem out of the question.

    thanks Chaz -

I ask cause i really want a 14.1" w/ some sort of dedicated graphics card and the hp is the only one i can find in my price range. The compal 30 looks nice but is over my price limit and is probably overkill (in terms of gpu power) for my needs.

They are not very graphics intensive but a better card certainly would help. Like most games , the difference between high and low settings is huge. I'd say you should have no problems running at medium settings at least.

Battlefront II is a tad more demanding, but looks more or less the same as the first game.

The detail/shader settings are what would make your GPU struggle a bit. As long as you don't go overboard on the settings, you should be able to play without any problems with the go 7200.
