I think the X3100, as the performance on that is comparable to the ATI X1300 graphics cards, which are comparable to the nVidia 7300 series. Not sure however.

Geforce Go 6150 is better than the Intel X3100. But if you're aiming for an entry level graphics card, get the ATI Radeon X1450.

Damn... why must Intel have to name their graphics processor like ATI?

I think he's referring to the new Intel GPU that comes with the Santa Rosa platform. It's supposed to be considerably less bad than the GMA950 but I'd trust nVidia's drivers over Intel's any day.

nVidia and ATI have new integrated chipsets on their way. Not sure when we'll be able to buy them.

If you have to ask, you probably do not want either. I'm of course assuming you are interested in gaming performance though...

When they release long awaited drivers to enable hardware T&L instead of software the Intel will be better.

    Hey
i am going to buy a notebook soon, currently i am looking at HP DV2500 and HP Tx1000z, i realised that they use different graphic cards. The dv2500 uses intel's GMA X3100. Where as the tx1000z uses nVidia's geforce 6150. Now, i am not a gamer infact can't even remmember when i played computer game last time, but i will be using some graphics design software such as photoshop and some cad/cam softwares for design and technology work. It wont that complecated 3d graphics though. Which one is better, personaly i quite like the tablet(tx1000z) but i havnt got a clue which graphic card out of these 2 is better. Help would be appriciated....thanks

I am not so sure that the X3100 will be better then the 6150 in games. It gets a higher 3dMark score but 1/3 of the 3dMark score comes from the CPU and the x3100 is paired with a Core 2 Duo and the 6150 with a AMD Turion X2. Atleast in games that dont benefit from the stronger CPU the 6150 would be better. However over all the Intel package wins surely.

That may be partially true, but have you seen what scores the 6150 gets in 3dmark06? It only gets a score of 225. So with the X3100 @ 596, it's quite safe to say that can not only be because of the CPU ;)
