    Is it just crossfire?

Are the 7970m problems just related to crossfire? Are single card set ups fine and dandy? I was going to get a 680m SLI configuration but then I came to my senses and realized that was a ton of money but I know the crossfire 7970m setup has problems. So... I don't really game enough to justify a dual set up anyway and now I am leaning towards a single card. If I want to save $300 and get the 7970m, will I have driver problems like I read about or is that just the dual card configurations? Thanks.
