Hello,
I recently bought orange box and there were couple Half life games. I heard that story line is really good for Half Life. If I star the game from Half Life 2, would I have missed too much story line to know what's happening in Half Life 2?
Also, is Half Life episode 1 and 2 sequel to each another?
Thank you

HL isn't necessary to play in order to play HL2 but it definitely helps you get a sense about what happened and how the games coincide with each other. However, if you want, HL is $10 on steam so it'd be a good buy if you want to know more about the HL series.

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Not necessary but the plot would be easier to pick up and appreciate. At the very least give a nice plot snyposis of HL 1 a read. Epsidoes 1 and 2 are the sequels to have life 2.

Yeah, I made a big mistake playing HL2 without at least reading the plot of HL1.

Yea, at least read a summary of HL1. It makes things clearer in HL2.

At least know the general idea of HL1. I didn't finish it either but I enjoyed HL2. I'll get around to playing the episodes eventually.
Is it okay for me to start Half Life 2?
