No. No working Xbox360 emulator exist yet. And it is illegal to emulate consoles on PC unless you own the console.

Do you know how powerful a PC you would need to emulate an Xbox 360? Three cores, 48 ALU unified graphics card, I don't think there is a PC on the market that could do that.

Go and buy a 360! Or ask Santa for one.

Oh hell yeah there is, PC's have far outpaced the 360. There are quad core processors out on the market now. And a 7800/7900 could do a 360 game if you had a good processor, not to mention the 8800. That would easily own a 360 game.

You are ignoring the difference in architecture. A PC running an emulator not only has to match the console hardware, but be much stronger as it is converting every bit of code into a format the PC CPU can process. That process can be extremely difficult depending on the architecture of the console. A good example is Rosetta. The Core 2 Duo CPUs totally destroy the PPC G4s, but when running Rosetta they are so slow it makes my eyes bleed.

Emulation may slow down the game on a PC, but if a game is ported onto PC, it will kick ass of consoles out of this solar system :D....

I was into games in undergrads and then I had never played the same game on a console (NSF Underground).. And man.. the PC was so much better. You could set the horizon for infinite distance, I was so used to it, but the console could not handle it. The graphics on the PC was way better... all the console hype ... its just a cheap solution for gamers. The high end graphics cards alone are more expensive than the whole consoles... so if you have the case to spend, consoles would be live a hand held game in comparison.

a badly ported game will also play like crap (ie halo and oblivion)

just depends on what the game was optimized for

The xbox 360 is hard due to the very different graphics chip and PPC chips. The PS3 with its cell cpu (a dual quad system could offload to each cpu core) and the graphics chip is basically a 7900, so with those cpus and a 8800GTX you could potentially have the extra power needed since each of the 7 active cores are nowhere near as powerful as a fully fledged CPU die.

I bought a 360 for dead rising because it was the only game i liked too. Then gears of war came out, call of duty3, saintsrow, and vegas. Besides pc gaming is slowly dying, the only thing keeping it alive is old school cs dudes and mmorpg's. Counsel gaming is much more fun and energetic. So really im trying to say is GET A 360....thats just my 2 cents.

In my opinion. I don't think PC Gaming is dying at all. It goes down when consoles first come out but when they start getting older and people transfer console games to pc thats when it kicks up again. Same thing with the Wolf and Rabbit theory. Wolves eat most of the rabbits, wolves dies cause there is'nt enough rabbits, rabbits come back cause of the lack of wolves, and repeat.
