I was thinking of buying with a budget of about £1000 although i have found with this budget that it is hard 2 buy a laptop with any other graphics card than the 8600GT which i have on my laptop and do not like, and so i was wondering is it possible 2 upgrade the graphics card i.e on the m1530 which looks good aprt from the graphics card? Thx

    Short Answer: no

Long Answer: Because the 1530 uses a special graphics module for easy placement of video cards on the motherboard, an upgrade could be possible if Dell releases any other video cards for the M1530. As of right now, you can downgrade to the 8400m, but not upgarde anything past the 8600gt.

    No.

And fill out the FAQ in the "what to buy" section, you might be able to find a notebook with a better GPU for a bit over 1K in the UK.

Actually, this is not true, the GPU in the XPS M1530 is soldered unlike some other Dell notebooks, so you can't upgrade it.
