my friend has a copy of CS: Source and he has it already installed into his computer. Is it possible for me to borrow it and install it on my comp, then it would be playable on my computer aswell?

Well I am not condoning pirating software. But you can make a virtual image using alcohol 120%. Once again I am not condoning software pirating. If you have your own cd-key then it is all good. You can download alcohol 120% as a trial version...just google search it.

That would work to install the game, but you will not be able to play it. You see, when you buy the HL2 game which comes with CS:S you run them through steam. This is where you register an account. After you account has been registered, you are able to input the CD-Key to add that game to your games list.. Therefore the game is PERMANENTLY attatched to your steam username. So you can create the disk and install it, but you will not be able to play it unless you buy the game and input a CD-Key that has never been used into steam...
Sorry for the bad news, but thats how valve handles piracy! -
you will be able to play the game however you will have to use your freinds steam account and whenever you are online then your freind wont be able to play.
Is it possible to...
