Hello,
I have Acer Aspire 7530 laptop ( http://www.cnet.com/products/acer-a...vista-home-premium-3-gb-ram-250-gb-hdd/specs/)
Recently I finished playing The Witcher (sadly, it was possible to play only on a lowest graphics) and now I`d really like to play second and third part. Of course my laptop`s graphics won`t be able to handle it, so I face a dilemma - should I buy a new laptop (I would like to avoid doing it, since my laptop is still pretty much alright, except it`s weak on graphics and I really wouldn`t like to buy new one just because of one game) or maybe it is possible to somehow improve hardware, which could be cheaper? Graphics card or RAM maybe? I have no clue to be honest, is it possible at all and will it change anything. Please help with an advice if anybody can

no, i don't think you can do anything other than upgrade.
-
you mean buy a new laptop?
-
to be blunt - yes.
-
any ideas of something cheap but still considerably stronger than mine? So it can handle the witcher 3
-
Yeah you're really overdue for a new laptop
Gonna say if you wanna play The Witcher 3 and enjoy it, get a laptop with at the minimum a 850m GTX GPU. -
anything I could buy on ebay within 200 pounds how do you think? I`d be ok with playing witcher 3 on minimal graphics 800 x 600
Just checked ebay... GOD! Laptops with that video card are all over 500 pounds! Not sure I`m ready for such an expenditures T_TLast edited: Jul 2, 2015 -
You expect to game with a 2015 high end game with a laptop no less that costs 1/2 that of a console?Last edited: Jul 2, 2015jaug1337 likes this. -
While I hate making this recommendation, it would probably be cheaper picking up a console to play it on than a laptop.
The laptop makes sense if you want and need a faster computer for other games and general use, but for purely playing Witcher 3 at playable settings, a laptop will be more expensive.
Other option would be pick up used parts and build a desktop rig.
Unfortunately your laptop isn't upgradeable.
One other alternative would be get a used laptop off ebay or the market section here and then sell it again when you are done with it.
Good luck, they are great games. -
Try this searchlist. Descending order of preference (top = best, bottom = minimum), also stretched budget to $390/£250, just in case. Most will yield ' result 0', will need to get quite lucky; keep checking daily and don't hesitate for a minute second when a buy-it-now's available. Best chance is an auction:

If you're going to upgrade - Alienware + Graphics Amplifier may be worth a look. I've been looking in to it and it seems like a pretty cool concept, how its applied; well - reviews on youtube have been okay.

With your budget i recommend of just buying a good cheap gaming desktop and you can upgrade it at anytime. Otherwise as stated before you need at least a laptop with a 850m Gtx = 765mGTX to play it and enjoy it. -
Well, if you really want to play the game at the lowest possible playable settings, you might want to check out this video. It might open up options to consider that don't include at least a GTX 850m.
(Note that I'm not being 100% serious about this.) -
I can play Witcher 3 on 940m at 720p but that's about as low as you can probably go, 940m or 840m.

Glad im not much of a gamer anymore because these games are becoming more demanding.
Is it possible to improve my laptop`s graphics?
