I read on Intel website that the GM 915 has a open PCI express port x16.

    What does this mean?

does it mean I can install a geforce 8800 in my sony VAIO?

I don't think so. That's not an expandable port.

We've been over this many many times. No. The chipset has a port for dedicated internal GPUs, but its instead used for the integrated card. Can. Not. Be. Upgraded.
