    Hello,
I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Lenovo T61 with a T8300 processor, 160 GB HD at 7200 RPM, 15.4 WSXGA+ TFT screen, NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M (128MB) graphics, 1 GB of ram, (as soon as I recieve it, i'm adding another 2G) and my OS is Vista Home Premium
My questions are, is this machine capable of light gaming with no problems? If so, what games should I look into? I love sports games, some shooting, fighting, etc. What games do you reccomend? I've never owned a laptop, so im extremely iggnorant, so please for give my next question, but when installing a game, does it remain on the desktop so you don't need to carry around the actual disk, or must you keep it with you? Anything else you would reccomend to a total noob? As I said, I'm obviosuly not an intensive gamer, but I like to have the option to do some if I feel in the mood.

If you use Geforce drivers (you can turn your card into a Geforce with Rivatuners), you should be able to do gamig on everything released right now. I think it's the equivalent of the 8400M GT

Equivalent to the 8400GS. Not quite the GT.

You can play minesweeper on the highest resolution. hehe jokes.

Yes your specs is sufficient enough for light-medium gaming. You should be able to enjoy playing CS:S, WOW and bf2 on high settings.

Also any games made on 2006 or before should be able to play on the highest settings

    Well it is true.

I could also play Warhammer :Dawn of War on fully maxed out gfx settings. I cant remember what other games i played.

Oh and these games was when is till had 2gb ram on vista32 with no OC. Assuming that your card is equivalent to mine.

The Quadro NVS 140M is a low-midrange card. It is pretty much compared between the 8400M GS and 8400M GT. It is a pretty great card for light gaming, only an 8600M GT would be needed for moderate gaming, and well, 8700M GT and 8800GTXs for hardcore gamers. So, the Quadro NVS 140M may be suited right for you needs...
