    Is the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650(laptop) weaker than the Geforce 7800GT(desktop) gpu?

    I'm asking this because I've recently purchased a laptop with HD 3650 and im getting around 30-40 fps at lower resolution in Warcraft 3 while on my desktop with 7800gt I was hitting around 60+fps at higher resolution too. Not having to mention the laptop is displaying the graphics alot blurrier.

    I'm pretty sure the laptop processor is better too cuz its an AMD X2 Turion Dual Core RM-70 compared to my desktop processor at AMD XP Athlon 3200+.

    The 7800GT is way better than the HD3650
    and video games are rather more gpu (graphic card) intensive than cpu (processor)... so the cpu doesnt matter much in this case..

    Have you got the newest drivers installed? 30-40 FPS looks abit low to me. If I can get 90 FPS @ WUXGA in CSS with a HD2600 then you should be able to do far better in WC3.

    ahhh...maybe so...i tried to install the latest drivers but i forgot i'm suppose to uninstall the old one first....but im not home right now so ill do that asap.....cuz the version is like 8.4 i think...and latest is 8.7...hope it'll make a diff

    The 7800 GT has a 256 bit bus so is more capable of running in higher resolutions than the 3650(128 bit). At lower resolutions, depending on how shader intensive the game is, they should be equal.

    Kind of hard comparing Notebook GPU to a Desktop GPU as the same series meaning example a notebook 8800M GTS is going to be slower than a desktop 8800 GTS. Infact I do not have it here but I thought I read that the laptop 8800M GTS is a little more powerful than a desktop 9600 GT. You also have to remember that some of the laptop GPU's are downclocked compared to their desktop couterparts. Also as with the 8800M GTS has only 64 stream processors compared to its desktop couterpart of 96. I hope this helps. God Bless :)
