    Is the new "Peynrn" the best processor now?

    You'll probably only notice the difference if you're doing something processor-intensive. When you're running on battery, the processors' clock speeds are actually restricted to preserve power, and even otherwise, most people won't really benefit from the difference.

    I think the % increase in performance at the same Ghz (for instance, 2.2) is something like 6 or 7 %.

    In other words, the newer processor will be faster, but unless you are moving up the chain GHz-wise, you are only going to see about 6 or 7% increase in performance.
