Is there a Driver to allow a Go 7400 on a HP Dv6000t to display 1680x1050? I want to be able to use my 21" Gateway WS as a secondary or for dual monitor setup with what ever notebook I get. Either the HP or the Dell e1505 which has an option for that resolution. Or will that even be a problem when the monitor is connected?

I think it should recognize whatever resolution the monitor can display. There shouldn't be a problem once you connect it.

Thats what I was thinking, but read something the other day about someone DL' a driver to do that. If this is the case the Dell really isnt a consideration now. Especially since the HP I speced is cheaper!

I think omega drivers should be able to handle this: (please correct me if I am wrong)

Yeah I would try some third party drivers as they have much more options.

Well if you go with the HP, you should be fine with the official/default drivers. There aren't really any 3rd party drivers for nvidia cards, or at least they're just tweaked versions of the originals. There's plenty of options for dual-screen displays at any resolution.
