It gets annoying turning the thing on and off just trying to figure out what games benefit from it or not, but is there an easier way to tell?

It's greatest benefit currently is in GPU bound scenarios. Typically you'll need to play at 4K or better to see actual gains in titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and SOTR. Less graphically intense games or just older games like CS:GO have no real gain or loss. For compatibility sake at this point in the game (hehe) I'd say you're better off without it because drivers are still being developed.
Is there a list of games that benefit from GPU scheduling?
