I have never done 'Overclocking' before.
Planning to do this on a very very cheap laptop.
Brand of Laptop: Pluto Notebook
My Specs are: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz 2.67GHz
RAM: 4GB (2.93 GB Usable)
System Type: 32 Bit Operating System
Graphics Card: Intel (R) HD Graphics
Windows 7 Professional
I am not too sure about the Official website of this Laptop.
It might be this: PLUTO :: Online Store
Will overclocking this Laptop have any benefits?
Please help. Thanks ^_^

You can't really overclock that machine. You're about due for an upgrade instead. Most of the overclocking done on laptops is with GPUs, not CPUs.
Why do you want to? -
even if it were possible to overclock that machine, it wouldn't do you any good considering you're running a 32 bit os, a good portion of your system ram isn't usable and your computer seems to be about three years old. As of the above poster said, alot of the overclocking done is with GPU's and sometimes the CPU when overclocking the GPU as well. desktop cpu overclocking is more common than laptop gpus considering that the K versions of desktop cpus are not terribly expensive and the only unlocked multis for laptops are generally an XM version of the cpu which tends to be quite expensive.

I don't even know what GPUs/CPUs are.
Please help. Thanks.
I don't even know what GPUs/CPUs are.
May I know what are the things that I can upgrade?
Please help. Thanks. -

You should consider buying a new laptop, nothing is worth upgrading on that even if you could... you can get something waaaaay better than that for less than 500$ .
FYI CPU = processor (central processing unit), GPU = graphic card (graphic processing unit)
All depends what you need it for, if it is for web browsing and word processing you do not necessarily need better, if it is for gaming it's a rubbish computer . -

I am using this computer mainly for Video Editing. Sometimes the computer's temperature reaches 89-93 Degrees Celsius( Afraid of overheating)
when I am using the Video Editor 'Camtasia Studios'. (What can I do about this?) (The rendering of the video is really slow too)
And I did play League of Legends at 80 FPS( Fullscreen Mode) on this computer and it was okay for 1 year and 2 months. But just recently, when I play League of Legends at 80 FPS and on Fullscreen Mode, the computer will automatically Shut Down in the middle of the game. (I suspect that this is due to 'something' overheating) [What overheated?]
Because of that, I changed the game settings to 'Windowed Mode' and the FPS to 30. Everything went smoothly with the temperature to be around 54-61 Degrees Celsius.
Please assist. Thanks. -
Video editing will be very slow on that computer as that is usually very RAM and processor heavy and evening having GPU's will help with the speed of it. For you truly to be able to do video editing you'll need a system with an -i5 and i7 would be better processor and 8GB of RAM if not more and than if you find one with a GPU that would help as well.

I think if I upgrade my RAM to 8GB, the usable RAM will still be 2.93GB because of my Operating System right?
→ Will upgrading the Operating System to 64Bit have any benefits?
Please help. Thanks. -
upgrading to a 64 bit OS will allow 16 GB of ram or more depending on the OS. But honesltly If i were you id get a new pc.

Paying money to upgrade what you presently own, be it RAM or operating system, is throwing good money after bad. Don't do it. -
I am looking to make a USD $400 Gaming PC.
Is this computer okay to build? Build a Gaming PC for $400 - July 2013 - YouTube
Where else can I ask on which parts are best for its money?
Please help. Thanks. -

The $400 desktop the video builds has a very limited upgrade path (FM2 socket) and the CPU itself is fairly weak for what you want to do (especially editing), but the Radeon 7770 is fairly decent for the price. DesktopReview is pretty dead imo; you'd have better luck asking at the desktop thread in NBR's off-topic section: http://forum.notebookreview.com/off-topic/639238-desktop-computer-discussion-lounge.html
But even then, from reading your previous posts I feel that you will need to do some serious studying on computers parts, how they work, and watch a few how-to videos before considering building your own desktop. Today it's somewhat easy to build one once you get all the parts (just plug them all up and install the OS and drivers, for the most part), but you have to *carefully* research what parts you're getting before you buy them, else you'll be stuck in the same situation as your laptop (like the rest, I say you definitely need a replacement, not an upgrade).
If you're looking to replace your laptop with another laptop, I'd head over to the WNBSIB subsection ( What Notebook Should I Buy? - A Laptop Buyers Guide), fill out the sticky ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/wha...ould-i-buy-form-must-read-before-posting.html), and check out whatever people recommend you. If you go with this route, I'd still recommend doing your own research on computer parts and such. If you go with replacing your laptop with a DIY desktop, go post in the desktop thread link I provided and tell us what you need, what you want, and what your budget is. -
Is this Laptop worth Overclocking? PLEASE HELP
