I just bought a sager 9261. Its got the intel e6750, 160 at 7200 rpm, 4 gig at 800, 17 in wuxga, and the nvidia 8700gt. Im just concerned, i chose the 8700 over the 7950 because its future proof. Will the system still help me play the newest games with a good frame rate at high resolutions? I will upgrade my card in my laptop when the 8800 comes out for laptops, but until then......

The 8700 looks pretty good but as I was told with my 5791s if you are running XP the 7950 kicks ass. Personally I think the benefits of dx10 are dubious at best. Be a while before I use that or Vista.

(Mebbe it's MXM, Iono...).
Good system, btw =) -
OC that 8700M GT... its the best one to OC over the ones that goes in other notebooks (M1730 or X205).... due to the amazing headroom from the MXM-IV format and the amazing thermal design.

the question is... are YOU good enuf for the beast you just ordered!....

You only need 2 gigs of ram unless you're using a 64 bit OS. And the newest games won't be running at max until you get the 8800, that's my 2 cents.

Yeah, I'll be working on Vista Ultimate 64bit. The guy on PC Torque threw in an upgrade to WUXGA from SXGA and Two Day Shipping, so I couldn't pass on it. And yes, SAGER is upgradeable. I didn't think any laptops were, but on just about every web site the 9261 says upgradeable next to the video card choice. I asked and they said it could be upgraded at anytime, so finally one laptop manufacturer got it right.
Is this SAGER good enough?
