Hi, i have a problem, this is the first real amount of money i have had and i always wanted a laptop, i found what i think is a good choice... but that is why i am here. Well first here is the link to the laptop

    http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Asus_F3Jp_Laptop_F3JP-AP104C/version-1.asp

This laptop is very near my budget, my budget being about £750-800 And i was wondering if it could run Morrowing IV: Oblivion on Moderate setting with no difficulty (Jittering and slowness drives me insane) Or maybe on a lower setting with no difficulty. If it can run this that that would be perfect, i also asked the compony selling the laptop and the answer i got was: "The laptop would be able to play most modern and current games" which didn't really answer my question. so please help before i spend my money!

Yeah, the x1700 can handle oblivion on medium-ish settings quite well.

Ok thanks, its a improvement on the replies i got so far from everyone i ask.
Just trying to get all the info on this laptop before diving streight in. if anyone has any comments to make about the laptops specs i may upgrade it a little if i can. Like maybe a way to make it keep performance playing games comming out in the near future.

The gfx card for the laptop you posted above is only 128- bit as the minimum for the Radeon is 256 bit so .. im not sure what to stick with. (also i think i might have to pay a big shipping fee, im from the UK)... its a very nice laptop though.

As long as you don't play on battery, the x1700 have some very aggressive power management settings, I play oblivion well in a go 7600 the x1700 seems to be very little more powerful than mine so it should do fine
