    Hello,

I feel that there are games where I hate even though a lot people like em. I can't think of any games I hate but games that I don't like is COD 4.

I'm sure many of you guys feel the same way.
    LOL

Some other games I regret buying:

    ORANGE BOX
    BioShock

your not alone, I def have never had an urge to play cod4. I know many people swear by it but it just seems like there's so many FPS's which are identical.

I really want to play team fortress 2 though!

    UT3, TF2, WoW, and WiC.

Played the first two and got tired of them really fast. I'm not a fan of MMO or RTS genres.

I don't really like Bioshock that much either. I was really bored so I picked up COD4 this weekend, and I was very impressed with the game. I thought Call of Duty 4 was going to be a "modern" like WWII game (yawn...), but it turned out to be a great game that I could not put down. I think Infinity Ward did a good job on the game, and I am looking forward to seeing what they are coming up with next on COD6. I think I have not been this excited about any video game since 1998 when Half Life came out.

    Ya,there's quite a few popular games I dislike...COD 4 is one....mass effect,oblivion,hellgate,supreme commander and FA.

Its really annoying not being able to trust reviews and peoples opinion,as to whether or not buy a game.....I guess everybody is different and looks for their own type of escapism.

COD4 was good the first time I played it...

It reminds me too much of console gaming though. Yes, it is the reason I bought my XB360 and I'll admit, I couldn't put it down nor can I when I get on live.

But I did want a beautiful looking game for my fx and so it came highly reccomended.

COD4 on pc reminds me of a maze. You cant even follow your way to your objectives the way you want, you basically have to follow the pre-planned route with 3d-objects laying around to cover up the simplicity...

I wish I could explain it better. I'm that type of person that likes to do things my own way. If I dont want to go through the building to reach alpha, then damnit let me go around the building. Dont throw some bs barbwire or burning car in my way with no way around or over it. Situations like that kill the experience for me, and COD4 is full of them.

It sure is pretty though. :)

Bioshock for sure. THought it was mediocre at best. Yet it got rave reviews and such. I mean the plot and atmosphere was great but gameplay was lacking.

I bought it on ebay (thank god I paid less for it) and played it maybe 2 times for a total of maybe 20 minutes on 360. Just wasn't into it.

Gears of War on the other hand, I couldn't put it down. :)

Half-Life 2. It drives me insane how much everyone loves it. It's mediocre at best; the storytelling isn't even actually good until Episode Two (which I do love).

Team Fortress 2 I just can't get into. I know a lot of people love it, but I never liked anything more than just running around and shooting people. I just like deathmatching.

World of Warcraft is a game designed entirely around timers. In the early levels the only class with any actual interactivity is the rogue.

Lets see likes would be WOW, C&C 3, Unreal 2004 all I cannot put down (mainly unreal these days)

Games that came highly recommended that I just can't get addicted to:

Crysis nice graphics, bout it for me.
    COD4
    TF2
Hellgate London had me for about a week
Stalker I may give another shot
Battlefield 2 + 2142 got old real quick
    Lord of the rings Online

Guild Wars i'm still on the fence about, I like it alot but I cannot seem to get "into" it like I do with WOW

I couldn't stand Crysis much longer than about 40 minutes.

I had a couple friends tell me that it gets significantly better after the first few missions, so I suppose I owe it to myself to go through and play the whole thing [even if just to prove them wrong].

A couple of other dramatically overrated pickings:
    -Gears of War
    -Bioshock
-All MMORPGs [Such a young genre, and it's already stagnant. They just keep getting worse and worse.]
    -Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
    -Super Mario Galaxies

totally agree, even though the story in GoW is actually laughable and nothing really makes sense i couldn't stop playing untill i finished it mainly because the gameplay was there. Bioshock on the other hand features some great settings and an interesting story and characters but it was extremely lacking in terms of gameplay and variety, actually about 4 hours into the game i was getting extremely bored and disappointed that i was thinking of uninstalling it and find some execuse to return it to the store and get my money back!, but those 10 out 10 reviews fooled so i brought myself to finish the game hoping that things will soon change and presuming that this might be one of those games that start out slow but gets better as you play through.....nothing really changed and the ending came off as a shock to me with an extremely generic and horrible boss fight and one of the most unpolished endings in gaming history....the ending just resembles those of 2d and 3d fighting games when you choose a character and play through the arcade mode beating a bunch of opponents before an ending cutscene shows up.....it felt so unfinished..

Halo was fun. I played it until I beat it, which is very hard for me to do... Single player games usually don't keep my attention. After playing WoW, everything else gets real boring for me for some reason. I'll play a game for like 30 minutes and then want to play WoW again..

The latest single player games I actually played all the way through were DMC4 (on 360) and Halo 3. I own HL2 and Doom, but I never finished them :( I also have Crysis and haven't played that for awhile either.. It is a good game though. Meh, I have ADD or something :p

TF2 is pretty boring, i don't really like the sort of instant spawn type of multi player games, ruins the point of trying to stay alive, plus, it gets repetitive. Bioshock is just weird.

I find Call Of Duty 4 to be more overrated than Halo 3, I ended up deleting about 20-30 people off my 360's friends list simply because they never took COD4 out of the disk tray, I want to play something else? "naw soz gna play cod4 lol"

It wasn't because it was hard, if I partied up with friends I'd get way more kills "average around 30-35 every team deathmatch" but I just couldn't keep interested in it, other games I wanted to play!

GTA IV aswell, god is it boring! :p

As much as I love DiabloII, I always hated the Starcraft and Warcraft games. One of the most highly overrated games though, imo, is Assassin's Creed. You just do the same thing over and over and over with no multiplayer or anything to break it up. I agree with the person above that mentioned they'd like to do the CoD4 missions their own way, but that game keeps me coming back for the multiplayer aspects. I never cared for the cartoonish FPS games that give your absurd weapons, so COD4 fills that niche for me just fine. Currently, CoD4 is the only game that I even play. I can't wait for DiabloIII.

A lot of people really like Grand Turismo and they get good reviews but I just hate those games. I really like Forza 2 Motorsport though, it is much, much better. I was kind of disappointed at first with Halo 3 when I played through it on single player because of such high reviews but then I started playing on Xbox Live and my friends would come over and we'd have a little Xbox 360 LAN going and I realized just how amazing and fun that game is.

Halo 2 and 3. Most over-rated games of all time. Halo 1 was fantastic. It was different... original. Halo 2 and 3 were just rebranded mocks, which of course every 14 year old kid purchased, just for the ability to call other Xbox Live Account Holders "n00bs" and tell them how fat their mom is, while racking up some head-shots.

yeah i loved Halo1 aswell , but with games like Halo 3 i felt Microsoft are trying to make the Masterchief something super like Kratos or Dante. and there is the part where i started to hate the game.. when the master chief just rushes on an army of those aliens.. Please they will eat his armor in no time.

How can you find a WWII shooter like any of the Call of Duty's or Brothers in Arms boring. Those games are packed with intense action. That's pretty much what Call of Duty is known for is giving you intense action and never letting up for more than a minute.
