    Hi,

I downloaded the latest 9.4 ATI Catalyst drivers, but i am having a issue, the drivers are not updating at all, nor do I have the Catalyst Manger program running. Im stuck with the default 8.4 drivers and not the 9.4 ones.

I'm using a HP DV 4 laptop with the 3200 Raedon IGP.

Anyone have a answer on how I can fix this?

    Thanks

    ^bump^

this is really annoying me, I have read the FAQS and guides on here already. Does anyone know how to even update ATI drivers on a HP notebook?

    Seems like no one does.

You'll either have to edit your own drivers or use the ones HP provides. ATI leaves laptop driver updates to the manufacturers. WHen you download the newest Catalyst drivers, your downloading the desktop drivers and the catalyst program.

Thanks for the reply BOFH1971, but I have already gone to Driver Heaven, and tried to get the latest Omega Drivers, and unfortunately they do not have any avaliable for download.

Seems to be in the "coming soon" state still.

Ovrclck350: how do I go about editing my own driver? Know of a guide?

Thanks everyone, its so annoying that I can't even play WoW or Left 4 Dead even at lowest settings due to HP drivers.

Try uninstalling them and letting Windows Update find the driver for it. The one that came through Windows 7 works fine.

Did you get the ones for integrate/motherboard? If Vista 32, use these:

    http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=vista32/integrated-vista32

Completely uninstall everything ATI related, then run driver sweeper after booting into safe mode, then restart and then install the 9.4's. Should get you, no problems... I've done it on my Tablet for every version since 8.6. Let me know how that goes.

Just make sure you use the drivers that are for integrated/motherboard, and not the regular version.

Hey, as an update to above post.... try the 9.3's if the 9.4's won't work... I acutally just tried the newest 9.4's as I was running 9.3's still, and it wouldn't install the 9.4 display driver for some reason. But, did install the 9.3's just fine as above, and then just updated to 9.4 on top of the 9.3, and seemed to have worked. Not sure what the glitch is, but that might be what's giving you issues.

Thanks a lot Be77solo! Your tip worked great :D I wasn't able to so far update to 9.4, but 9.3 is a world of difference from the 8.5s I had installed.
    Thanks for the help.

One quickie question, i found how to do a update to 9.4 drivers, but i have a question. i have Left 4 Dead on my laptop and when i try and load the game, I'm prompted to update my drivers sense i'm supposedly using 8.54 drivers.

Evewn though ATI Catalyst Shows: 8.60/9.4 drivers are installed as well as in Device Manager.

Is this normal? Is something wrong?

Lastly, as you have a similar CPU and GPU, mind if I ask your temps of your system after playing a game like WoW or Left4Dead? Or even Demigod? (recommend it graphically?)

I did a clean install on the 9.3's, then ran the installer for the 9.4's over the current 9.3's... But, even then the 9.4's still show up as 9.3's, so I'm thinking there's just something up with that release, as they don't seem to update properly... I'd wait for the 9.5's or later and run the 9.3's till then, skip the 9.4's. I've installed a bunch of these, and they are the only ones that act this wierd.

But, normally, I do a clean install just to be safe. Glad it worked!
