I just downloaded Battlefield Bad Company 2 for $5 on Origin. I tried to sign into my EA account and register the product key (by clicking on my friends list). The only thing is it says it cannot sign me in at this time or something along this line. I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong. Am I supposed to use my EA account? Or create a new account?

A few months ago, EA had an attack/scare on one of their databases, so they decided to force users to "reset" their passwords. Just go onto EA.com, give them your email address and "forgot password". They'll give you a link to renew it, and you should be good to go.

I already did that long ago, I also changed my email associated with it. I have no problem logging into other EA services such as EA.com, Origin, Origin.com, BioWare Social Network, EA Gun Club, etc.

I just figured it out. I've had this issue with other services. After all the hacking, I ended switching emails since it was easier for me to change my Windows Live ID to actually have a hotmail account instead of yahoo. Well, some things don't seem to work with my new password system. I always have numbers, letters, capital letters, and a grammar punctuation. The problem is it seems some things don't work well with grammar punctuation in your password. I couldn't get Yahoo Mail to work on my Windows Phone 7 because of the grammar punctuation, it worked when I removed that from the password. Yet other mail clients worked on my Windows Phone with the grammar in the password. Its weird. I had the same issue with signing into the Games for Windows Live desktop client. Just changed the grammar out of my EA password, worked like a charm. It's so annoying that when changing a password most things also recomend punctuation in it. Then you're password works everywhere, until some random thing.

Here's a new one, no servers are listed in the server browser, when I use Play Now it puts me in an empty server. I went to redeem code and it says my code (which was provided by Origin) is invalid or already used. What the heck?

Never use "Play Now" in BF:BC2!
I think it may be broken cause it allways trows me into a unused server.

The server browser works on my end however, and im guessing you do run the lastest patched up version (Origin installs the newest one without need for a patchfest) and enabled access through your firewall on the computer?

You also made sure you ticked the search criteria especially punkbuster, or else nothing will show up.

I ended up searching support for BC2 on Origin's site. One of the recomendations was to reset the search, then press search which worked. It works fine now. I really suck though, I'm good on console, but man I cannot play mouse and keyboard that well in shooters. I think some of the issue is that I use a mouse that has a very slight lag and I'm playing at 15-25fps (lowest settings and lowest res).

I always have trouble with the auto login function with bfbc2 :p.
It never works. But you dont really try to game with a HD3450M?
At least you could OC it then to HD3470M level (same chip but 180Mhz more).
BFBC2 has strange input lags on every computer.

I'm all for OC it since I dont game often and plan to get a new computer once Ivy Bridge and Kepler come out. It used to run 205*F without cooler, added a cooler and it would sit at 190*F, now since I changed the thermal pad with paste it maxes at around 170*F. So, I think I have room to work with. (and yes, the prior temps were absolutely terrible and I'm lucky it still works). The problem, I don't know how to OC it. The only thing I know how to OC is my CPU using ThrottleStop, but it is only from Two Cores at 2.1GHz to Two Cores at 2.3GHz.
