Just wondering if anyone out there is having issues with this video card and Vista. I've tried practically every driver Nvidia has released for Vista (I'm using 158.45 right now) using Laptopvideo2go's drivers but games and video will not stop stuttering. I'm wondering if it's just me or are there others out there with the same issue.

Thanks, I will give them a shot. I see you have the same Vid card. Did you have such issues before using these drivers? Do you have such issues now?

Edit: Just as I thought. These drivers made no difference. Same exact stuttering like always :(

Well I haven't gamed much on my laptop in the last 7 months. Too bad you have to use Vista in order to play Halo 2. Kinda sucks. :(

Well, sort of unrelated but I'm running on a ATI X1700 and I get crazy stuttering as well. World of Warcraft a game that should run great, runs like complete crap because of the stuttering. I'm just assuming it's Vista.

Just wondering, how are you gaming (internet-wise)? Directly connected or wireless?

I always game /w Ethernet, Gigabit ethernet. This stuttering occurs even if I'm playing offline (Oblivion, STALKER, H2V Single Player, etc.)

Yep 256MB RAM and I'm using the 101.70 Mobile Force ones from tweaksrus. I'm not sure why it isn't working well for you aswell.

I uninstall the current ones. Reboot. I dont let windows use a driver thus it goes into MS's default driver, then install the modded ones.

Edit: I've been thinking my card is simply overheating but in fact when gaming it does not go past 74C degrees and when idle it's at 55C

if you are playing online it may be an issue with your firewall or internet connection.

I dont think you can play Oblvion online (or can you?). Like I said, any type of application that runs DirectX (from what I can tell) suffers these symptoms. Heck, even InkBall and Chess Titans stutter.

You could try the new DirectX 9 redist for June. Maybe there's a bug in your DirectX or something. Here's a link to the forum post over on TwearsRUs -->

    Hope this helps. :)
