    But i still havnt been able to get a straight answer

    i read the video card upgrade sticky post and still cant find an answer

    If you buy a single 8800M GTX
    can you upgrade it a Dual ALI 8800M in the future?
    by just purchasing it or sending the laptop back to the retailer and having them upgrade it for you in the future?
    or is it an All or nothing senario

    YES. Any SLI CAPABLE laptop has 2 slots for GPUs, meaning that you can choose to have 1, 2 or no GPU :D
    You can upgrade it yourself, but most likely you will have to send it back to the retailer for them to do it so you won`t lose the warranty.
