In the past two months I've gone threw 3 joysticks all Game Element, last 2 the retractable cord kind.I'm not a big big gamer but do go on FPS'ers and the sports games binges, but my joysticks just don't hold up. Can someone point me in the right direction? Dont' need the top of the line just a good solid joystick that will last.

Wow... you play fps games with a joystick?

That aside, I'm not too familiar with joysticks myself since I've only found a need for them for space combat games and stuff like that. I used a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick that I got like... 10 years ago? It's quite old and it's still almost brand new.

If you're looking for a controller (ie. dual analog controller), I recommend getting an Xbox360 controller since it will work on your PC without a hitch.

Play fps on a keyboard and mouse, and you won't kill your controller so quickly.

The reason why you controllers die is they weren't meant for so much shoving up and down. The more you move it so quickly, the quicker it dies.

Fps games will kill a controller fast. Trust me on this one.

And I suggest the... damnit, guy above me suggested it.

Sorry about that... NO I don't play FPS with a joystick
Non the less they wear out quickly, THANKS for the suggestion iPPi and Zellio I will give it a try. I didn't know you could use XBOX controllers with a PC.

If Youre looking for a gamepad, Wireless Rumble Pad from Logitech is excellent. Ive been playing PES6, and other games on it for long time now.
