I know this game is kinda old but i got the urge to play it again. Anyways downloaded and installed JC2 from steam and each time i started it a error message popped up saying dxgi_error_not_found code 3. People said it caused by nvidia optimus with windows 8, JC2 works just fine on my old laptop. I tried both of these solutions here:

    http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/943498-just-cause-2/65018447

The first one works but it makes the game uses the intel 4600 instead of the Nvidia 750m and i thought the second solution worked but it kept resetting anything i changed in the game's profile back to default in Nvidia inspector and the game still uses the intel card -.-, Any other solution for this?

    Try this:

    And/or this:

Otherwise try "verify integrity cache" option in Steam, when right clicking Just Cause 2.

I already tried the first option already it doesnt work for me because anything i changed in JC2 profile on Nvidia inspector resets to the default settings, maybe its caused by the 350.12 drivers but idk.

The second option works but i dont wanna play the game in windowed mode where in my old laptop i can play it on full screen with no issues.

Try "alt + enter" and see if it helps to go in full screen.

It still doesnt go full screen it only makes windowed mode a bit bigger. Im willing to downgrade my Nvidia drivers to 347.88 or below to make it able to change JC2's profile without resetting the default settings every time i changed anything it. I might lose some FPS when i wanna play GTA V but im willing to try anything

I finally managed to fix it, I decided to update my Nvidia drivers and then try the nvidia inspector and /dxadapter=0 fix again and it worked!!. The game now runs on full screen and its using my 750m instead of the intel igp

I was able to change JC2's profile with nvidia inspector, it seems like 350.12 was one of the new Nvidia drivers that we wasnt able to change its default settings. Im planning to downgrade to 347.88 later since every nvidia driver after 350.12 is unstable on my laptop. Thanks for the help anyways

EDIT: 347.88 drivers installed and everything is fine with JC2 and GTA V
