Hope they hired the guy who made the JC2 multiplayer mod - that was so much more fun than the vanilla game.

Great news! JC2 is a stupid amount of fun. I don't think any game can top the amount of crazy things you can do in its MP.

I have been waiting for this for ages. Just Cause 2 was great fun and the open world environment was absolutely beautiful for 2010.

Damn, no multiplayer!

Awww don't be such a poor sport. JC2 MP is just crazy dumb fun!
-
Would rather them concentrate on making the best single player sandbox open world ever than split finite resources between two consequently mediocre game modes.

For me, the crazy multiplayer mod was the only reason I bought JC2, and it was a lot more fun than the single player campaign.
I'll probably wait until either they come out with a mod or DLC. -

AMD Gaming Evolved titles are generally well-optimized for everyone and do not contain exclusive features for AMD users, except maybe Mantle. -
Yep..it's just another example of Nvidia cockclocking

This looks like nonsensical fun. I can get into this. Because I make no sense.

you got a couple game benchmarks already on and nvidia performance guide is also on.Btw performance is really good but it depends a lot of good cpu when dealing with explosion.I dont know why global ilumination is so expensive.According to nvidia benchmark it costs up to 17frames per second?it does improve image and makes it brighter but similar effect provides sweetfx with performance hit of maybe 1fps?.It woould be a good comparison globall illumination on vs sweetfx.
-
Is there an in-game benchmark in JC3 like in JC2? I bought it on GreenManGaming but still no key.
Edit: Well dayum, it looks like they are fresh outta keys at Steam too. Git yer akt 2gether SquarePenixLast edited: Nov 30, 2015 -
I picked up a copy on GMG last week, got it installed and running.
Initial hour of play through was issue free, no complaints. Haven't messed with settings much yet, but at 1080p w/ Vsync on I'm locked at 60fps with default high settings... not a single dip or stutter in fact, so can't complain on that front.
It's the same JC mindless mayhem, love it or hate it. I personally enjoy it, but expect more cartoon than serious.
On a side note, the Steam Controller using gamepad+high precision template is working great. -
The reviews are being deployed everywhere!

Just Cause 3 is awesome so far
Started using 359.00, but updated to 359.06 when it released.
I have my display set to 100hz, Triple buffer vsync, and all the JC3 settings maxxed, then backed down to FXAA, no Motion Blur, and no Edge Fade. Not because I needed to, but because I can't see my frame rate, I am assuming it is 100 fps. I don't see any tearing or other visual issues.
The Nvidia OSD frame rate display isn't working, and the same goes for RivaTuner 6.4.0. They both work in all other games, and I see 100fps stable in Tomb Raider for example.
Any ideas how to get the OSD's working in JC3? -
i watched TB's vid on this game and it looks kinda boring or at least the challenges are because they arbitrarily lock upgrades behind boring challenges where the game is meant to be all about blowing stuff up and they don't give you enough time in the challenges to do some crazy stunts. so i'll hold out for a few more weeks.

I noticed SLI with JC3 isn't 100% shared across both GPU's. One GPU is loaded into the 90% range, but the other is 35-45% loaded. I was wondering about this, and may have found out why:
SLI-ight Confusion With SLI in Just Cause 3, It’s Definitely Possible, NVIDIA Employee Mispoke
http://wccftech.com/sli-ight-confus...-definitely-possible-nvidia-employee-mispoke/
" What this might mean is that either Hybrid SLI Rendering or SLIAA, where AA effects are offloaded onto the other GPU, is being used. Currently only Single-GPU is supported via the program settings, however AFR can be forced and it likely will result in increased performance, as this game engine is compatible as other games based upon it can attest to.
So no, the SLI profile is not perfect as of yet, but it is possible and a profile is something that NVIDIA has to create and put into the next driver release. To say that the engine is incompatible with Multi-GPU solutions is wrong. The individual in question likely misspoke before actually researching the issue." -
His video is more inspiring than deflating, I still want to play...and it's inspiring that there is so much left to unlock / see and do even after completing 1/3 of the story.
I don't know what he is complaining about, time needs things to fill it up during game play, and it looks varied and plentiful, even in a small village - and it looks like he already found lots of cool stuff to fill up the first 1/3 with rewards.
Found this interesting... the guy has a 8+ hour playthrough... Part 1 as well.
Top 10 Interesting Just Cause Facts
That 8+ hr play is on PS4, load times are a lot slower, on RAID0 it flies - relatively speaking - and SLI while not 100% is making 100fps gameplay look a lot smoother and more responsive.Last edited: Dec 2, 2015 -
I am going to hold off a bit too.

The thing I don't get is what happens when you die? Every time I die I come back and everything is rebuilt and lose all my stuff.

FYI - 359.06 BETA (Dec 1st early download) fixed Nvidia OSD, and I am getting 100fps. I haven't tried enabling Rivatuner. The cut scene framerates are odd, sometimes 50fps and sometimes 100fps.

Played a few more hours today, definitely a whole lot of chaotic fun (capturing towns for example is great fun initially though even early on gets repetitive), but no engaging story, so I'm sure I'll move on before too long. I'm a sucker for a great single player campaign; unfortunately few developers bother any more.
This game though is about what I was expecting however; at least they tried, unlike EA and their Battlefront MP only rubbish.
Runs smooth, looks great, random fun stuff to do.... catch it on sale and it's a great time! -
It is fun, I'll give it that and just great if you want to go blow stuff up. I like the tether, although it is a bit quirky and hard to get used to.

Is it suitable for someone who loved JC2? Does it have that same magic?
