A 1.66 GHz Core 2 Duo processor just means that you have 2 1.66 GHz processing cores. It doesn't mean that your computer runs at 3.2 GHz. Most likely, the Just Cause demo is not designed to take advantage of multiple processing cores, so it is running at 1.66 GHz.

Also, even though your GeForce GO 7300 has 256 MB of RAM, it is a low-end card by any definition of the word. You're going to have to tweak some settings down pretty low to get decent framerates.

It will play games, but you'll need to turn the settings down to play most games. A *decent* gaming notebook will have at least the 600 variant of its generation (e.g., GO 6600, GO 7600, 8600M, 9500M). You might still have to turn down some settings for best performance, but the 600/500 cards can handle gaming a lot better than the 400/300 cards.

    Just Cause Demo.

I tried it on 8600m it works great, around 30 fps on grassy lands, and 55+ when in water or less intensive areas @ 1280 x 800 all high. They seem to set FPS for the game menu so it is always at 15 FPS, I thought that was weird. Personally, I think just cause is much more demanding then GTA:SA, there's more shading, more detail, HDR, and grasslands instead of just buildings. However, game play wise I like GTA:SA more, there's definitely more things going on, like more cars, people, and stuff to do.

Just Cause is definitely more demanding than GTA: SA. If you look at the consoles they came out on, GTA was a Playstation 2 and Xbox game, while Just Cause was an Xbox and Xbox 360 game. The developers always try to port the most powerful version over to PC, so you've got a game really built around a current-gen gaming console vs. a game built around last-gen's gaming consoles.

Don't even bother with buying the full version. It has a memory leak that occurs every 30-45 minutes regardless of your computer configuration.
