So yea I just finished the game today and it was an awesome run. This is one of the few great games that I have played lately. It had emotions, action, adventure, and great story. I enjoyed every minute of it except the part in the cave where I was being chase by that monster, lol scared the hell out of me... Anyways, there were some awesome moments like the houses blowing up in many different particles made it felt like I was in a summer block buster movie. Also I wonder what was the connection between portal and the half life universe and now I know... Can't wait for episode 3!

O now im playing it through once more with commentary, very interesting... So what were your guys reactions to this game playing it for the first time? And one more thing, why does the black guy always have to die in everything???

I thought Half Life 2 was a bit too slow. The level design was nice in it but at the end of some levels, I could barely wait to move on to a different environment.

Half Life 2 Episode 1 was alot better, IMO, but didn't have as much story moving forward. Episode 2, however, had a perfect amount of great level design that moved forward when necessary along with more story development.

I loved the 'original' HL2 much more than episode 1 and episode 2. I find both episodes are very repetitive, asking you to do same tasks multiple times each time slightly harder.

i think episode 2 is definitely better than episode 1. and i also think hl2 is better than episode 1. not sure where hl2 ranks against ep2...

i really love the dynamic eerie shadows used in ep2 and L4D.

Would love to see HL 1 , with updated graphics, which although HL2 is a great game, HL1 was better ,as far as gameplay !

Speaking of Episode 3 ...............well the hell is it ?

Black Mesa. It has been in development since the day HL2 came out, and it has a few months left in the oven before it is ready.

I think HL1 was the best, if there was a remake with better graphics I would play it again.
